This Thanksgiving holiday made for a very full house at Mom and Dad's place -- just not quite big enough for 6 adults and 3 full-grown dogs. But still, it was nice to be with the family. It's pretty rare that I get to see Heidi, Ellen, and Jared anymore with them living where they do.
We managed to get 2 games of bowling in on Thursday at Madell's. I sucked the first game but then jumped 60+ points my second game. To Dad's dismay, Jared beat him BOTH games -- the tables have turned now that Jared's been practicing on a bowling league in Madison. He could barely contain his excitement and was flashing sly grins and thumbs up behind Dad's back while Dad was scoring. Yes, Madell's is in Pine River, WI, and has 6 junky lanes and paper scoring. Check out the final scores here (click to enlarge):

As a very first, we actually took a family photo to send out for Christmas this year. Even though we're all smiling - it was a moment of mere seconds when the camera flashed before it snapped back to utter chaos. Heidi couldn't figure out the camera's self timer, the dogs wouldn't sit sill, and Dad was ROASTING from sitting by the fireplace for so long: "Quit fiddling around will all those buttons and take the #$&@*#&%^ picture!!!!!!" Here's what we got. And yes, another potentially great picture ruined by Jared crossing his eyes.
